William Rickey's Story
Life
After graduating from O-W in 1972, I attended O-C Technical College (8/72 - 6/74), S.C. State (8/74 - 6/76), and Clemson (1/77 - 5/79). Married Dianne Bair of Orangeburg in July 1976. We met at Garden City Beach in 1970 and dated all through high school, becoming engaged in 1974. She graduated from Wade Hampton Academy, Orangeburg SC, in 1974, attended Orbg. Regional Nursing School (8/74 - 5/75) and the Univ. of South Carolina (8/75 - 1/77). We lived on the USC campus, University Terrace Apts. #65, from 7/76 to 1/77. finished (BA - 1977), then North Ga. College (MEd. - 1992), and Univ. of Ga. (EdS - 1996). Along the way, we added three kids to our family: Heather born in Anderson (1979 - graduating May 2002 from Univ. of Ga.), Leslie in Orangeburg (1986), and Kevin in Lawrenceville Ga (1989). I am a Licensed Civil Engineer, while Dianne is an Elementary Teacher. We have moved many times, in our college and work pursuit, living in Columbia, Clemson, Athens/Commerce Ga, Orangeburg, and currently in Lawrenceville, Ga.
